BENTON - Vanessa Marie Burger and Gregory Heath Morgan exchanged wedding vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony Nov. 30, 2002, at St. Denis Catholic Church before the Rev. J. Friedel.
The bride is the daughter of Jamie and Sherry Burger of Benton and the bridegroom's parents are Richard and Beverly Morgan of Risco and Debbie Nelson of Hayti.
Organist Jeffrey Overbey of Cape Girardeau and vocalists Joan Kerby, Jim Simmons and J.R. Bollinger of Benton, provided music for the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride's floor length gown featured a fitted bodice overlaid with lace. Round neckline was enhanced with scalloped lace and the full skirt and cathedral train were also embellished with lace appliques, seed pearls and scalloped lace along the hemline. A beaded tiara held the bridal veil in place and she carried a cascade of red roses and baby's breath.
Allison Burger of Benton attended the bride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Andrea Heisserer of Oran, Leonna Essner of New Hamburg, Suzanne Urhahn and Ashley Dirnberger of Benton, Stacy Forck of Cape Girardeau, Heather Burger of Kelso, Lyndsey Mosby of McClure, Ill., and Deidre Griffith of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Paris Burger of Benton and flower girls were Summer Burger of Chaffee and Danielle Rodriguez of St. Charles.
Richard Allen Morgan Jr. attended the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were J.R. Bollinger of Benton, Michael Riley of Blodgett, Andy Silman, Chad Felter, Travis Green, Terry Burford, Dustin Dirnberger and Mark Ziegler of Benton. R.J. Nelson of Hayti served as junior groomsman and ring bearer was Chase Urhahn of Cape Girardeau.
Music for the reception, which followed the ceremony in the St. Denis Parish Center, was provided by Charlie's Music Revue.
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan are residing in Benton.
