The Church of Christ in Jackson was the setting March 30, 2002, for the wedding of Dana Elizabeth Petitt and Timothy Scott Lowery. Bryan McAlister and Frank Monroe performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Cheryl Crews of Scott City and Geoff Smith of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the bride are William Petitt of Scott City and Cynthia Meadows of St. Louis. The groom is the son of Michael Lowery of Scott City.
Cristie Mah of Maryland Heights, Mo., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Maid of honor was Stacy Robey of Cape Girardeau. Tara Swan of Pinckneyville, Ill., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Huskey of Oceanside, Calif., cousin of the bride; Tara Phillips, Jessica Dees, and Jennifer Lowery, sister of the groom, all of Scott City.
Junior bridesmaids were Ashton and Mackenzie Dorris of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride, and Tori Hosey of Scott City, cousin of the groom. Ashton and Mackenzie are daughters of Billy Dorris and Gretchen Dorris. Tori is the daughter of Tim and Stephanie Hosey.
Best men were Lance Amick and Jeremy Mouser of Scott City, and Ben Menckowski of Christopher, Ill. Groomsmen were Keith Anderson, Brandon Amick, and Jeff Lowery, uncle of the groom, all of Scott City. Ushers and candlelighters were Joey Beard, Tim Hosey, Jason Statler and Christopher Rellergert.
Flower girls were Brittany Beard and Lindsey Hosey. Brittany is the daughter of Tim and Melanie Beard of Cape Girardeau and cousin of the bride. Lindsey is the daughter of Tim and Stephanie Hosey and cousin of the groom. Ringbearers were Tyler Brott and Aaron Statler, cousins of the bride. Tyler is the son of Ryan and Cherish Brott of Arnold, Mo. Aaron is the son of Jason Statler of Fenton, Mo.
Cherish Brott and Jennifer Spies attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Cathy Beard and Jeanie Statler.
The rehearsal dinner was held March 29 at the church, hosted by the groom's father and his grandmother, Virginia Lowery.
Mrs. Lowery received a bachelor of science degree in elementary/early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a teacher at Franklin Elementary School.
The groom attended Rend Lake Junior College and Southeast University. He is employed by United Parcel Service.
The couple resides in Jackson.
