Groves - Brazil
Kim Groves and David Brazil were married Sept. 28, 2002, in the Serenity Garden on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. The Rev. Clayton Smith performed the ceremony. Reader was Jane Stacy of Cape Girardeau. Steve Brazil of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom, was guitarist and soloist.
The former Miss Eaker is the daughter of Sally Eaker of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Kathy and John Roth of Mineola, Mo., and Floyd and Shirley Brazil of St. Charles, Mo.
Matron of honor was Angie Grissom of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Hanah Brazil of O'Fallon, Mo., daughter of the groom.
Roger Barnes of Wentzville, Mo., served the groom as best man. Ushers were Kameron Groves, son of the bride, and Jake Brazil, nephew of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau.
Ringbearer was Hunter Brazil of O'Fallon, son of the groom. Bible bearer was Kristopher Groves and crossbearer was Kollin Groves, both of Cape Girardeau and sons of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Johnson Faculty Center at the university. Servers were Becky Vetter of Scott City, Chris Malugen of Fenton, Mo., and Candi Brazil of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the groom.
Mrs. Brazil received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Southeast University. She is a marketing consultant in O'Fallon.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from Southeast University. He is a manufacturing engineer at Boeing in St. Louis.
The couple will reside in St. Charles, Mo.
