Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carmichael of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Dawn Dreier Carmichael, to David Reid Gorman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Reid Gorman of Gainesville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Doris Dreier and the late George Dreier of Peachtree City and Waldine Carmichael and the late Walter Carmichael of San Antonio, Texas.
She graduated from McIntosh High School in 1993 and graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 1997 with a degree in molecular biology.
She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.
She will recieve her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia in May and will practice patent law with the firm Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is a graduate of North Georgia College and State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
He is employed by Southern Neurophysiology in Atlanta.
The wedding will be May 27, 2000, at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church.
