Mr. and Mrs. William Ernest Chegwidden of Marietta announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashlie Amanda, to Jeffrey Roy Grubb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Hinton Grubb of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Henry Orr of Marietta and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest William Chegwidden of Kennesaw.
She is a graduate of Marietta High School and The University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in Furnishings and Interiors.
She is employed by CDH Partners of Marietta as an interior designer.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold Montgomery of Thomaston, and the late Jackson Roy Grubb, Sr. and the late Eleanor Grubb Perkins, both of Thomaston.
He is a graduate of John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville and Georgia Tech, where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree with Highest Honors.
He will receive his M.B.A. from Auburn University in June.
He is employed by Georgia Power in Jonesboro as a marketing engineer.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 17, 2000, at the First Baptist Church in Marietta.
After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
