Blackburn - Schumann
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Blackburn of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Belle, to William Russell Schumann III, son of Bill and Sandra Schumann of Raleigh and Fayetteville, N.C.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Blackburn of Northfield, Ill, and the late Byron and Fannie Dailey of Onaway, Mich.
She is a 1997 graduate of Brenau Women's University where she received a B.A. in English. In May, she will complete dual Masters of Arts in Appalachian Studies and English Literature from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Kathleen Mangum of Chalybeate Springs, N.C. and the late John Ed “Big Daddy” Mangum, and Rose Schumann of Bunnlevel, N.C. and the late Bill Schumann.
He is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he received a B.S. in Anthropology in 1993, an M.A. in Appalachian Studies in 1999, and is currently completing a second Master's in Political Science. He will attend the Ph.D. program in anthropology at the University of Florida in August.
The wedding is planned for June at Henson Chapel United Methodist Church in Cove Creek, N.C.
The couple will reside in Gainesville, Fla.
