LOVE-WOODS
Tamieka Dionne Woods of Pine Bluff and Willie C. Love II of Little Rock were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Aug. 28, 2004 at St. John AME Church at Pine Bluff. The Rev. Michael Washington and the Rev. Prentis Dupins officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cobbs Sr. of Pine Bluff and Germain Woods Sr. of Detroit. She is the granddaughter of Lola Waddell of Pine Bluff and the late Earl D. Waddell, and Naomi Woods of Detroit and the late Julius Woods. She is the great-granddaughter of Eva Stoudamire of Pine Bluff and the late William Stoudamire, and the late Jim and Gladys Waddell. Her godparents are Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Carlton, Lina Godfrey and Maple James, all of Pine Bluff.
The bridegroom is the son of Willie C. Love Sr. of Tulsa, Okla., and Sandra Love of Little Rock. He is the grandson of Mrs. Freddie Norwood of Little Rock and the late Isaiah Norwood, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Love Sr.
A program of nuptial music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Lee O. Willingham and LeBarron Mizer, all of Little Rock.
The flower girl was Sydney Carlton of Matteson, Ill., a cousin of the bride.
Darrius Waddell of Little Rock, a cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer and bell ringer.
The aisle runner was unrolled by Ransford Thomas and Aaron Waddell, cousins of the bride.
Escorted by her stepfather, the bride wore a formal white satin gown, fashioned in a fitted, flowing silhouette. The sleeveless bodice was embellished with rhinestones and pearls with a lowered classic back neckline.
Her waist-length veil framed her face and was accented with pearls.
The bride's jewelry was princess cut diamond earrings and pearl and diamond earrings, and a solitaire bracelet and pearl necklace, a keepsake of her late Grandfather Waddell.
She carried a bouquet of a dozen white budded roses.
The matron of honor was Tomika Seaberry of Chicago.
Kimberly Hampton of Olathe, Kan., was the maid of honor.
Carmelita King of Little Rock, Kenchasha Maddox of Mobile, Ala., and Tunisha Young of San Antonio, Texas, were the bridesmaids.
The bridal attendants wore two-piece, floor-length gowns fashioned with halter bodices in cloudy and ice. Their jewelry was matching diamond necklaces, gifts of the bride. They each carried long-stemmed calla lilies.
Alvin Rogers was the best man.
The groomsmen were Ahmann Love and Frederick Love, brothers of the groom, and Tyrus Gillam and Sydney Vaughan, all of Little Rock.
Tishque Hunter of Dallas, Terrence Mathious of Acworth, Ga., Ransford Thomas of Pine Bluff and Aaron Waddell of Little Rock, all cousins of the bride, were the ushers.
The hostesses were Cheryl Waddell of Pine Bluff, aunt of the bride, Karen Amica of Ecorse, Mich., Denise Waddell of Southfield, Mich., Marilyn McBride of Little Rock, and Carla Thomas of Pine Bluff, all cousins of the bride; and Doris Ellis, Mattie Hampton and Pearl Matlock, all of Pine Bluff.
The wedding directors were Peggie Blunt of Little Rock and Loriece Carlton and Lucille Jasper, both of Pine Bluff.
Following the ceremony, a "blessing reception" was held in the church fellowship hall prior to an adult dinner reception held at Harbor Oaks Golf Club at Pine Bluff.
The couple will take a wedding trip to Hawaii in December. They are currently residing at Little Rock.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 27 at the church.
