McGEHEE -- Haley Camille Day of McGehee and Aaron Holland Keller of Little Rock were united in marriage at 5 p.m. July 31, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of McGehee. Tommy Cunningham officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Day Jr. of McGehee. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Berlin Stepherson of McGehee and the late Mr. Stepherson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Day Sr., also of McGehee, and Mr. and Mrs. James William Locke of Hot Springs. Her great-grandparents are Mrs. Hazel Cantrell of McGehee and the late Mr. Cantrell and Mrs. C.W. Day-Holt of Tillar and the late Mr. Day.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barrett Palmer Kemp of Little Rock and Dr. and Mrs. L.B. Keller of Osceola. His grandparents are Mrs. Woodrow Kemp of McGehee and the late Mr. Kemp, Barbara Helen Coop of Jonesboro and the late Mr. Coop and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Buie Ray.
A program of nuptial music was furnished and directed by Alicia March Whitaker, organist, and Robert Brown, trumpeter. The vocalists were Patricia Grimes and Scott David Grimes, who also played the guitar.
Mary Reed Williams of Jonesboro was the scripture reader.
The flower girls were Shelby Lynn Day and Hannah Elise Day, both of Tillar and cousins of the bride.
Jackson Barrett Woods of Springdale, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer.
The program attendants were Ivy Denise Meins and Sarah Elizabeth Stepherson, both of Little Rock.
The guests were seated by Matthew Aaron Noernburg and Patrick Murray, both of Little Rock, and Mark Stephen Day and Dustin Chad Day, both of McGehee and both cousins of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal silk gown of ivory fashioned with a strapless, fitted bodice and dropped waist which was covered in diamond-shaped metallic embroidery. The A-line skirt featured a chapel-length train.
Her fingertip silk veil of illusion was enhanced with translucent flecks scattered throughout the veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of star-gazer lilies, alstromeris, calla lilies, white roses and Queen Anne's lace wrapped in her Chi Omega Sorority handkerchief.
The bride's sisters, Courtney Layne Day and Mallory Rae Day, both of McGehee, served as the maids of honor.
The bridesmaids were Ashley Keller Wood of Springdale, sister of the bridegroomm Cara Cingolani Matheny and Amy Theresa Seamans, both of McGehee, Abby Lynne Smith of Stuttgart and Margaret Anne Watson of Atlanta.
The junior bridesmaid was Meredith LeeAnna Day of McGehee, cousin of the bride.
The bridal attendants wore two-piece strapless gowns of caramel taffeta with French blue trim. They carried a single long-stemmed calla lily wrapped in ivory satin ribbon.
The best man was Bradley Barrett Kemp of McGehee, cousin of the bridegroom.
The groomsmen were the bridegroom's father and stepfather, Rick Eugene Woods of Springdale and Damon Charles Singleton, Billy Lee Bruin III, William Robert Riddle and John Wesley McCray, all of Little Rock.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Delta Country Club at McGehee.
Music was provided by Paul Lewis Dottley and his band.
The bride's book was kept by Carrie Ferguson Burkhead and Emily Bowman Stein, both of Little Rock.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside at Maumelle.
