MANNING-DAVIS
Laura Frances Davis and Christopher Devon Manning exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. July 24, 2004 at the home of Mack and Donna Milner at Pine Bluff. Mike Holcomb officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Davis of Pine Bluff. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gean and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Davis, all of Pine Bluff.
The bridegroom is the son of Dee Manning and Waylon Manning, both of Pine Bluff. He is the grandson of Frances Manning of Star City and the late Dub Manning and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Weems of Mansfield, La.
A program of nuptial music was furnished by Bennett South.
Baylee Weatherford, cousin of the bridegroom, and Victoria Gean and Shelby Huffty, both cousins of the bride, were the flower girls and distributed rice bags at the reception.
Ross Weatherford, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white chiffon fashioned with spaghetti straps. The bodice featured gathered chiffon that extended into a draped back.
Her white lace veil was secured with a silver headband of clear rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of royal blue roses with sterling silver and white carnations.
The bride wore her mother's diamond earrings.
The maid of honor was Kellie Biggs. She wore a blue floral gown fashioned with spaghetti straps and scalloped, knee-length hem.
Holly Cunningham, cousin of the bride, Wesley Anderson, Melissa Edwards and Lauren Atkinson were the bridesmaids.
Derrick McGough, brother of the bridegroom, served as the best man and as an usher.
Tony Davis, brother of the bride, was also an usher and groomsman.
Other groomsmen were Heath Bogy, Brandon Southerland and Bryan Conner.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Milner residence.
The hostesses were Beth Clark and Renee Jeffcoat.
Ashley Schreiner kept the bride's book.
Lawana Weatherford, aunt of the bridegroom, and Teresa Bright, Debbie Huffty and Paula Gean, all aunts of the bride, assisted with serving.
The wedding coordinator was Sandra Biggs.
After wedding trip to Panama City, Fla., the couple is at home at Pine Bluff.
The bridegroom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner July 23 at the Sno-White Grill at Pine Bluff.
