HOT SPRINGS -- Rebecca Elaine Rico of North Little Rock and Carlie Ray "Bubba" Davis Jr. of Hot Springs were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 3, 2004 at the Mountain Valley Retreat Center at Hot Springs. The Rev. David Maynard officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Rico of Batesville, Miss. She is the granddaughter of Annie Pearl Rico of Batesville and the late Ezra Rico and Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Waddell of Marks, Miss. She is a graduate of North Delta Schools Inc. at Batesville and the University of Mississippi at Oxford, where she received a bachelor's degree in education. She is a teacher at Amboy Elementary School at North Little Rock.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlie R. Davis Sr. of Pine Bluff. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. C.A. "Buck" Smithwick and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Burt Davis. He is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School and received a degree in industrial electricity from Southeast Arkansas College at Pine Bluff. He is a minister at Teen Challenge of Hot Springs.
A program of nuptial music was furnished by Mrs. James A. Davis and Mrs. Michael Miller.
The flower girl was Hannah Miller.
The bride, escorted by her brother, William S. Rico, wore a sleeveless white gown fashioned with a scooped neckline and beaded bodice that extended into a floor-length, A-line skirt.
The bride wore a waist-length veil, belonging to her mother, which was secured by a beaded crown.
The bride carried a white Bible, also carried by her mother.
The usher was Hayden Miller.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the retreat center.
Alex Johnson kept the bride's book.
Zachary Sturdivant distributed the rice bags.
Shelby Sturdivant, Stacy Wooten and Heileigh Miller assisted with serving.
The couple is at home at Hot Springs.
