Mr. and Mrs. Audie G. Barnett of 205 Luther Manor Village celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on June 29.
Audie Barnett and Gertrude Kurz were married June 29, 1935, at the parsonage of Bethany Christian Church.
Mrs. Barnett is the daughter of the late Ed and Mag Brown Kurz.
Mr. Barnett's parents were the late Grover and Elizabeth Houser Barnett.
They have three children, Donald Barnett of Asheville, N.C., Martha Hollcroft of Phoenix and Bev Darr of Hannibal.
They have five grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Mr. Barnett is a retired vocational agriculture teacher, who taught at Hannibal High School for 26 years.
After retiring in 1973, he sold and managed real estate for another 20 years.
He was a U.S. Army officer in the Pacific during World War II.
Mrs. Barnett was secretary to the Hannibal superintendent of schools and Board of Education for 22 years before her 1977 retirement.
Mr. and Mrs. Barnett are elders emeritus at First Christian Church in Hannibal.
