MURRAY-LAGRANT
Tammaria Renaye LaGrant and Monte DeJuan Murray exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. July 24, 2004 at Allen Temple AME Church at Pine Bluff. The Rev. Amelio P. Howard officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Marva and Robert LaGrant of Pine Bluff. Her grandparents are Drew Smith of Portland, Ore., and Catherine Smith and Icyephine LaGrant, both of Pine Bluff, and the late James LaGrant.
The bridegroom is the son of Connie and Larry D. Murray of Pine Bluff. His grandparents are Sam and Winnie Camp of Little Rock and the late Dee and Mary Murray of Pine Bluff.
A program of wedding music was presented by E.C. Brown.
Keyanna Hooks and Jamila Jones were the flower girls.
Randrell Hayes was the ringbearer.
The candlelighters and ushers were Mario Jones and Gordon Seawood.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin, featuring a fitted, strapless bodice, embellished with sequins and pearls. The A-line skirt extended into a cathedral train.
Her single-layered, waist-length veil of white tulle was edged with satin and secured by a pearl tiara.
She carried a bouquet of white and red roses, accented with baby's breath and lilies.
The bride's jewelry was a pearl choker with matching pearl earrings.
Robyn LaGrant was the maid of honor.
Tasha Bass was the matron of honor.
The honor attendants wore strapless gowns in red, fashioned with A-line silhouettes.
The bridesmaids were Tenita Knight, Bridgette LaGrant, Makita LaGrant, Rainey Mothershed, Venus Murray and Lashana Powell.
Larry L. Murray was the best man.
The groomsmen were Gary Barnett, Derrick Kentle, Brian Landers, Ronald Mothershed, Britt Murray, Edward Murray Jr. and Ronald Rocket.
After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Waterfront Facility building at the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Regional Park.
Telicia Mothershed kept the bride's book and distributed bubbles.
Ann Alford, Joann Birden, Mary Caldwell, Dorothy Jones, Evelyn Ross, Penny Waddell and Arneitha Wise assisted with serving.
After a wedding trip to Miami, the couple will be at home at Pine Bluff.
The family and friends of the couple hosted a rehearsal dinner July 23 in the fellowship hall of Allen Temple AME Church.
