Laura Ann Davis and Christopher Alan Hester were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church at Pine Bluff. The Rev. Charles Settle officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry David Davis of Pine Bluff. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Davis of Little Rock and the late Margaret Reichen Davis of Pine Bluff and Ruby "Nan" Gillette Owen, also of Pine Bluff, and the late Dr. Maurice Owen.
The bridegroom is the son of Pattie Grice of Heber Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hester of Conway. His grandparents are Margaret and Sonny Carver of DeWitt (Arkansas County) and the late William Brown of Almyra (Arkansas County) and the late Mona Dean Newman of Mountain View (Stone County).
Andrea Michele Hester and Jessica Brianne Hester, both of Conway and both sisters of the bridegroom, distributed programs.
Amber Deanne Atkinson of Little Rock and Kathryn Marie Breen of North Little Rock kept the bride's book.
The ringbearer was Raymond Alexander Sullivan of Gillett (Arkansas County), cousin of the bridegroom.
Leslie Garman Reagor of Little Rock was the scripture reader.
A program of nuptial music was furnished by William Harris Fox Jr., organist; Akira Fukui, violinist and soloist; and Cynthia Carrell, trumpeter.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory silk satin embellished with pearls and silver embroidery. The strapless, empire-styled bodice extended into an A-line skirt featuring an asymmetrical side drape. The controlled skirt swept into a full court train.
Her full-length veil of English silk illusion was secured by a crystal-and-rhinestone tiara.
She carried a bouquet of yellow and peach roses, orange mini-calla lilies, blue statice, blue agapanthus, snow-white viburnum and tulips.
The bride's jewelry was diamond earrings, a gift of her parents.
Jenny Hollis Garman of Pine Bluff was the maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Ashley Lyn Crow of Pine Bluff and Emily Cheatham Davis, sister-in-law of the bride, Lauren Elizabeth Hunt, Katherine Crow Lord, Hailey Johns Pelton and Sarah Koehler Williams, all of Little Rock.
The bridal attendants wore identical, floor-length gowns of cornflower blue delustered satin. The strapless bodices were fashioned with a asymmetrical side drapes. Each carried a bouquet of mixed spring flowers.
Christopher Joseph Wilson of Little Rock served as the best man.
The groomsmen were Zachary Lee Connelly of Heber Springs, brother of the bridegroom; Matthew Scott Hickman of Tempe, Ariz.; Edward Bleu Stuart of Conway; and Mark Owen Davis, brother of the bride, Joshua Clay Hackney and Charles Louis Stuart, all of Little Rock.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at Eden Park Country Club.
Maggie Alayne Owen of Lonoke and Meredith Ann Owen of Little Rock, both cousins of the bride, assisted with serving.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will be at home at Sherwood (Pulaski County).
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday at the Harbor Oaks Golf Club at the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Regional Park.
