Gibbs - 40th
Mr. and Mrs. Connie L. Gibbs of New London will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their family from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001, at the New London Lion's Club.
Patricia O'Keefe and Connie Gibbs were united in marriage on July 16, 1961, at the New London First Christian Church.
The Rev. A.R. Edlund officiated. Attendants were Becky Shelburne Jarman, Ellen Meritt, Ann and John Ward, Leon Perry and Ronnie Tapley.
Mrs. Gibbs is the daughter of Laurel Bush of New London and the late John H. O'Keefe.
Mr. Gibbs is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gibbs.
They are the parents of twin daughters, Tracy Moore of Quincy, Ill., and Stacy Proffitt of Fishers, Ind.
They have three granddaughters, Kenady and Kaitlyn Moore and Alexis Proffitt.
Mr. Gibbs works construction with Dotson & Gibbs Inc. and is a member of the New London Masonic Lodge.
Mrs. Gibbs is secretary for the Ralls County University of Missouri Extension Center and is a charter member of the Feministic Clique Club, Eastern Star, served as District Deputy Grand Matron, and on the New London Park Board. Both are members of the Christian Church.
They are past patron and past matron of the Eastern Star.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to the open house.
