ABRAMS - REBILLARD
Suzanne Abrams and Eric Rebillard
Suzanne Abrams, daughter of Thomas and Alma Abrams of Dogwood Hill in Princeton, and Eric Rebillard, son of Robert and Liliane Rebillard of Roquevairc, France, were remarried on May 11, 2002 at the Mountain Lakes House in Princeton in a ceremony performed by Dr. Wallace Alston, director of the Center for Theological Inquiry.
The couple's first marriage ceremony took place December 1, 2001 at the Hotel de Ville in Aubagne en Provence, France, where Gerard Laik, Adjoint au Maire d'Aubagne (Deputy Mayor), officiated.
The bride graduated from Princeton High School in 1986.
She holds a B.A. from Columbia College in the City of New York and a B.A./M.A. from King's College, University of Cambridge.
She is currently completing her dissertation for a Ph.D in Classics from Brown University.
Before moving to Paris, she was employed as the assistant editor by the Publications Department of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, whose U.S. office is in Princeton.
Dr. Rebillard, Charge de Recherches at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Paris, holds a research position in Roman history.
He earned his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the Sorbonne and was a member of the Ecole francaise de Rome for four years.
He and the bride were introduced by a friend during a sabbatical year he spent at the Institute for Advanced Study.
The couple plans to continue living in Paris after a summer of archaeological excavation in Italy.
