He received a bachelor's degree in international studies from The Johns Hopkins University in 1997.
He is employed as a senior manager in corporate sustainable development at Nike, Inc.
The couple was engaged last summer in the Netherlands, where they lived for two years.
They now reside in Portland, Ore.
They will take a honeymoon trip to Kauai, Hawaii.
