Elizabeth Gail Gelfand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Gelfand, Stonecliff Road, to Steven Joel Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, Tucson, Ariz., and Dennisport, Mass.
Ms. Gelfand, a graduate of Lawrence High School, graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., where she was a double major in chemistry and psychology.
She is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, where she has a full fellowship.
Mr. Miller, valedictorian of his class at Sharon High School, Sharon, Mass., is a summa cum laude graduate of Yale University, New Haven, Conn., where he double majored in math and physics.
He is currently a doctoral candidate in mathematics at Princeton University.
The couple plans an August 2001 wedding.
