Gottman - Bode
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gottman of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lynn Gottman, to Lyndon Eugene Bode.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bode of Palmyra.
The prospective bride is a 1993 graduate of Hannibal High School.
She earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1999 from Hannibal-LaGrange College.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1981 graduate of Palmyra High School.
He earned an associate of arts degree in 1983 from Hannibal-LaGrange College and a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history in 1985 from Culver-Stockton College.
He is currently serving his second term as Marion County presiding commissioner.
The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Sept. 1, 2001 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hannibal.
A reception will follow at the Hannibal Inn and Conference Center.
