Mr. and Mrs. James Cave
Miss Jennifer Lynn Crowell of Cherry Creek and Mr. James Alan Cave of Portland were united in marriage on Aug. 2, 2003 at Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church in Fredonia. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Mel McGinnis of Kiantone Congregational Church and the Rev. Robert Beiter of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brocton. Music for the ceremony was performed by soloist Greg Hendricks of Hamden, Conn., and pianist Amy Gier of South Dayton.
The bride is the daughter of Keith and Barb Crowell of Cherry Creek. The groom is the son of Alan and Kathy Cave of Portland.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a white, strapless, satin A-line gown featuring two-tone embroidery and a split front overskirt. She wore a cathedral length veil adorned with rhinestones and a fingertip veil with satin corded edges. She carried a bouquet of bridal white roses, accented with lisianthus, lily of the valley, baby's breath and ivy.
Serving as maid of honor for her sister was Miss Amanda Crowell of Tonawanda. Bridesmaids were Miss Amy Kickbush of Fredonia, Mrs. Colleen Cunningham of Westfield, sister of the groom, Mrs. Kelly Bonafede of Fredonia, sister of the groom, Miss Natalie Morris of Coconut Creek, Fla., and Miss Nichole Smith of Cherry Creek.
Miss Kaitlin Cunningham of Westfield, niece of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid. Courtney Bonafede and Marissa Bonafede of Fredonia, also nieces of the groom, were the flower girls.
Mr. John Cunningham of Westfield, brother-in-law of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Brett Rowe of Dalzelle, S.C., Mr. Ryan Hazelton of Brocton, Mr. Scott Bonafede of Fredonia, brother-in-law of the groom, Mr. Donald Farnham of Westfield and Mr. Kevin Powell of Portland.
Kyle Cunningham of Westfield, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, an outdoor lakeside reception was held at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Dunkirk.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Pine Valley Central School. In 2001 she earned a B.A. degree in elementary education from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester. She is presently pursuing a master's degree in literacy I from Fredonia State University College. She is employed by the Silver Creek Central School District as a teacher and tutor.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Brocton Central School. He attended Jamestown Community College and is employed as a truck driver for the Chautauqua County Highway Department.
After a honeymoon journey to Pigeon Forge and Nashville, Tenn., the couple reside in their new home on Webster Road in Fredonia.
