Oster - Chicalese
Jamie L. Oster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Oster, Harwood, and Michael J. Chicalese, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Chicalese, Oakmont Acres, were united in marriage on June 26 in Holy Rosary Church. The Rev. Patrick J. Genello performed the double ring ceremony.
Following a reception at Edgewood in the Pines, the couple left on a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean aboard Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas. They now reside in Oakmont Acres.
Bernadette Tate and Denise Zullo, aunt of the groom and bride, respectively, gave readings. Anna Sullivan and Joseph Chicalese, godparents of the groom, and Joseph Zullo, godfather of the bride, presented gifts.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Heather Oster, Hazleton, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Houseknecht, Nancy Uston-John and Nicole Perkowski, and Shannon Sullivan, cousins of the groom. Natalie Perkowski, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.
Jeremy Chicalese, Hazleton, served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Anthony Chicalese, brother of the groom; Bryan Sullivan and John Sullivan, cousins of the groom, and Rory Dixon. Zachary Perkowski, godson of the groom, was the ring bearer.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from East Stroudsburg University. She obtained a Master of Education degree in reading from Bloomsburg University and is a physical education teacher at Valley Elementary Middle School. She is the granddaughter of Hilda Zullo and the late Christy Zullo, Hazle Village, and the late William and Henrietta Oster, Tamaqua.
The groom, also a 1996 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, is a 2001 graduate of East Stroudsburg University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and is a physical education teacher at West Hazleton Elementary Middle School. He is pursuing a Master of Science degree in educational development and strategies from Wilkes University. He is the grandson of Anna Chicalese and the late Ralph Chicalese, Hazleton, and the late Frank and Thelma Tate, Lattimer.
A shower in honor of the bride was given by both mothers at Top of the 80s and the groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Top Shelf.
