Lease - McIntosh
Alyson Lease, daughter of Doctors John and Linda Lease, Sugarloaf, was married to Steven McIntosh, son of Alison and David McIntosh, Broughty Ferry, Scotland, in the Brainerd Historical Church, Sybertsville. A second ceremony was held at Claypotts Castle, Broughty Ferry, Scotland, on June 27.
The bride, a graduate of Hazleton Area High School, holds cum laude bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is completing her medical doctorate at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia.
The groom, a graduate of Grove Academy, Broughty Ferry, Scotland, obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honors in chemical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He holds both a Masters of Science and a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He will soon start a postdoctoral period at the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands, before starting a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va. in January 2006.
The couple resides in Philadelphia, but will be moving to Charlottesville, Va. in the near future.
