McBrearty - Zmitrovich
Carissa Anne McBrearty, daughter of Thomas and Mary Lou McBrearty, Hazleton, and Michael Joseph Zmitrovich, son of Joseph and Louise Zmitrovich, Hazleton, were united in marriage in St. Joseph’s Church, Hazleton. The Rev. Stephen Krawontka performed the ceremony.
Following a reception at Best Western Genetti Motor Lodge, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Bermuda. They now reside in Hazleton.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Ashley McBrearty, Hazleton, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Natalia Pelayo, Maryland, cousin of the bride; Mary Zmitrovich, the groom’s sister, Kristin Davis and Amanda Christman, all of Hazleton. Emily and Katelyn Dianese, Hazleton, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.
Steven Blahoski, Hazleton, performed the duties of best man and groomsmen were Michael Havrilla, Joseph Sofranko, Basil Postupack and Jeffrey Aneskevich, all of Hazleton. Evan Charlesworth, Macungie, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A 1998 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, the bride earned a Bachelor of Science degree in professional accountancy from Penn State University and is employed by PPL Corporation. A 1996 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, the groom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Penn State University. He is a store manager for Boyer’s Food Markets.
The bride was honored at a shower given by her mother and sister at Top of the 80s.
