Embert - Shipman
Melissa Embert, daughter of Robert and Joan Embert, West Hazleton, and Jud Shipman, son of F. Lee and Jayne Shipman, Shiremanstown, were united in marriage in St. Michael’s Church, Freeland.
The Very Rev. Lawrence Barriger celebrated the double ring ceremony.
Following a reception at the Best Western Genetti Motor Lodge, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Amelia Island Plantation, Florida. They now reside in Lewisberry.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Karen Mardyniak, Freeland, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Leanne Mastercola, Collegeville; Julie Lawson, New Cumberland; and Tracey Fleck, Harrisburg. Lydia Shipman, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.
Todd Sprinkle, Mechanicsburg, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Jeff Shipman, Paxtang; Todd Shipman, Mechanicsburg; and Derek Eisenberger, Carlisle. Samuel Shipman, the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer.
The bride earned an associate degree from Penn State University. She is lead x-ray technologist at Holy Spirit Hospital Out PT Center. The groom earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. He is employed in the claims department for Gallagher Bassett Inc.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Top of the 80’s.
