Shovlin - Crowne
Gina Shovlin, Philadelphia, daughter of Francis and Marie Shovlin, Freeland, and Joseph Crowne, Philadelphia, son of Joseph and Marguerite Crowne, Norristown, were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. John Doris in St. Anthony’s Church, Freeland.
Following a reception at the Valley Country Club, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Hawaii. They now reside in Philadelphia.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Lori Gimmer, Quakertown, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kerri Crowne, Philadelphia, the groom’s sister; Marissa Marchesani, Norristown; Chandra Ravina, Harrisburg; Mistilee Labanoski, Langhorne, and Maria Cagliola, Limerick.
Matthew Crowne, Baltimore, Md., served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Matthew McCarte, North Wales; Matthew Barnes, West Chester, and Peter Day, Thomas Sullivan and William Bono, all of Philadelphia.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and photography from Beaver College and is a graphic designer for an investment firm near Philadelphia. The groom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from LaSalle University. He is an account executive for an advertising agency in Philadelphia.
Showers in honor of the bride were given by her mother and bridesmaids at Edgewood in the Pines and by the groom’s mother in Sea Isle City, N.J. The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Top of the 80s.
