Petruska - Stahora
Diane Petruska and Gregory Stahora were married in St. Stanislaus Church, Hazleton. The Rev. Louis Garbacik assisted by the groom’s cousin, Deacon Daniel McNerny, New Jersey, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Emily Petruska, Beaver Meadows. The groom is the son of the late Joseph and Mildred Stahora.
Richard Lutz was soloist and guitarist, and Paulette Belusko was the organist. Readings were given by Donna Hinkle, cousin of the bride. Offertory gifts were presented by Debbie Rockovich, Vanessa Rockovich and Cathy Christino, all cousins of the groom.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Judy Phillips, as matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Marlene Balliet, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Molly Balliet and Olivia and Elizabeth Grazio. Greeters were Karen Bird and Cindy Good.
Joseph Stahora Jr. performed the duties of best man for his brother, and Gregory L. Stahora, the groom’s son, was the groomsman.
Following a reception at the Stagecoach Inn, Drums, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to New York City. They now reside in West Hazleton.
The bride is a graduate of Penn State University and is a clinical dietitian for the Geisinger Health System, Danville. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Catherine Petruska and the late John and Bridget Kubishin.
The groom is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and is a teacher with the Luzerne Intermediate Unit, Kingston. He is the grandson of the late Gregory and Catherine Stahora and the late Sophia and George Good.
