Evanco - Wetterau
Billie Jo Evanco, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Evanco, Haddock, and Lewis Charles Wetterau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Wetterau, Haddock, were united in marriage by the Rev. Carole Vinson Lawfer in Diamond United Methodist Church, Hazleton.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sisters, Cathy DeMelfi, Hazleton, and Jeanette Luchetta, Haddock, as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Renee Wetterau, Drums; Tammy Evanco, McAdoo, and Tracy Wanyo, Haddock. The bride’s nieces, Leah Luchetta, Haddock, was the junior bridesmaid, and Megan and Joleen Luchetta, Haddock, were the flower girls.
Frederick Wetterau Jr., Drums, performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Ralph Luchetta, Ralph Luchetta Jr. and Charles Wanyo, all of Haddock; Joseph Forish, McAdoo, and John Wanyo, Freeland. Johnathan and Jerrit Evanco, the bride’s nephews, were ring bearers.
Following a reception at Lobitz Catering Service, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Williamsburg, Va. They now reside in McAdoo.
A 1990 graduate of Hazleton High School, the bride earned a bachelor of business degree from Penn State University in 2002. The groom graduated from Hazleton High School in 1989, Lincoln Technical Institute in 1991 with a degree in mechanical drafting and Luzerne County Community College in 1993.
The bride was honored at a shower held at the Comfort Inn, Hazleton, and the rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at their home in Haddock
