Valerie Ann Storz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Storz, Larksville, and John Edward Searfoss II, son of Louise Searfoss, Jim Thorpe, and the late John E. Searfoss, were united in marriage in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
The Rev. Vernon Searfoss, uncle of the groom, and the Rev. James Alco performed the double ring ceremony.
Scripture readings were given by John Storz, brother of the bride; Nora Avellino, sister of the groom, and Peter J. Avellino, nephew of the groom.
Offertory gifts were presented by Elaine Bronko, David Ratajczak, Frank Slucki and Beverly Longo. Ceremony assistants were Susan and Sandy Longo and music was performed by Carolyn Kohl and Joseph Bogwist, vocals and guitar; Edward Snitko, organist, and Joseph Devizia, trumpeter.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her parents, chose her sister, Monica Storz, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Victoria Avellino, niece of the groom, and Kimberly Price. Flower girls were Gabrielle Rose Nichols and Madison Christine Michak.
Bruce Fritzinger performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were John Storz, brother of the bride, and Robert Roomberg.
Following an evening cocktail hour and reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Luzerne, the couple left for a honeymoon trip to the New England States. They now reside in Larksville.
The bride was honored at a shower hosted by both mothers and the bridal attendants at the Knights of Columbus Hall, and the rehearsal dinner was held at Perugino’s Restaurant in Luzerne.
