Skaudis - Ryan
Sandra Skaudis, daughter of Gina and Jim Lombard, Shenandoah, and Bernard and Denise Skaudis, Brandonville, and Kevin Ryan, son of Vincent and Patricia Ryan, Shenandoah, were married in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Robert Potts in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Shenandoah.
Following a reception at St. Nicholas Hall, Primrose, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Jamaica. They now reside in Shenandoah.
Given in marriage by her father and stepfather, the bride chose her sister, Amy Skaudis, Harrisburg, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie Ryan, Sewell, N.J.; Heather Bayliff, Hazleton; Karen Ryan, Shenandoah; Paula Miernicki, Frackville, and Katie Showalter, Robesonia. Amanda Ryan, Shenandoah, and Alison Lazur, Orwigsburg, were the junior bridesmaids, and Jennifer Ryan, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.
Mike Ryan, Frackville, and John Ryan, Sewell, N.J., served as best men for their brother, and groomsmen were Bernie Skaudis, Annville; Jim Bayliff, Hazleton; Ron Wasilewski, Shenandoah, and John Chowansky, Gilberton. John Ryan Jr., Sewell, N.J., and Thomas Lazur, Orwigsburg, were the junior groomsmen, and Alberto Ruiz and Kyle Ryan, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and a 1999 graduate of The Reading Hospital School of Nursing. A Registered Nurse, she is employed at The Kidney Center of Greater Hazleton.
A 1995 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, the groom graduated from the Schuylkill Training and Technology Center in 2000 and is a moldmaker at A & E Products, Ringtown.
