Miterko - Lafayette
Carry Ann Miterko, daughter of Larry Miterko and Charlotte Miterko, both of Hazleton, and John Paul Lafayette, son of Paul Lafayette, Zelienople, and Gail Lafayette, Moon Township, were married in a double ring ceremony performed on Nov. 23 at the Beach Gazebo, Bahama Breezes Resort, Nassau, Bahamas.
Following a reception at the Garden of Eden, Bahama Breezes Resort, the couple honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas. They now reside in Bethlehem.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Mae Umbriac, San Francisco, Calif., as maid of honor. Jeff Bowers, Moon Township, was the best man.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in safety sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999. The couple recently moved to Bethlehem from Cincinnati, Ohio, where the bride was a safety supervisor for Jim Beam Brands Company. She is the granddaughter of Stanley Wydock, Hazleton.
A 1991 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, Harmony, the groom graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in natural science in 1996 and a Master of Science in safety sciences in 1998. He is a loss prevention consultant for Royal and Sun Alliance, Bethlehem. He is the grandson of Ruth Fuzek, Syracuse, N.Y.
