Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rock Hill was the setting Saturday, March 15, 2003, for the marriage of Chassity M. Gest of Charlotte and James B. Marze of Lancaster. The Rev. Teresa Moore officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the church.
The bride, daughter of Terry L. Gest of Charlotte, graduated in 1998 from Providence High School, Charlotte.
The bridegroom is the son of William and Robin Marze of Lancaster. He graduated in 1993 from Indian Land High School.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Honor attendant was Tina Conklin of Rock Hill. Flower girl was Cheyenne Gest of Charlotte.
Best man was the bridegroom's father. Ushers were David Jones of Rock Hill, Robert Marze of Pineville, N.C., and Terry Gest of Charlotte.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Asheville, N.C., and will live in Rock Hill.
