Dye - Biggers
Liberty Hill A.M.E. Zion Church in Lake Wylie was the setting Saturday, April 12, 2003, for the marriage of Sandra Biggers of Lake Wylie and Mitchell Dye of Chester. The Rev. Terrance Jones officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.
The bride, daughter of Georgia Bigger of Lake Wylie and the late Lewis Johnson, graduated in 1986 from Hunter Huss High School, Gastonia, N.C. She is a homemaker.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Dye of Chester. He attended Chester High School, Chester.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Robert Adams of Kings Mountain, N.C. Maid of honor was Cherry Tate of Gastonia, and matrons of honor were Marilyn Dye of Rock Hill and Chanita Mason of Dallas, N.C. Bridesmaids were Kendra Biggers and LaShonda Simpson, both of Lake Wylie, and the bridegroom's sisters Brenda Dye and Gwendolyn Dye Elam, both of Chester. Junior bridesmaids were Shaska Dye of Chester and Bianca Lowery of Lake Wylie. Flower girls were Jene Simpson of Sharon and Oneikia Biggers.
Best man was the bridegroom's brother, Willie Dye Jr. of Chester. Ushers were Emery Tate, brother of the bride, Carlos Bigger and the bride's uncles, Charles Bigger and Fredrick Bigger, all of Lake Wylie, Gregory Gaines of Clover, Archie Floyd of Rock Hill and Earl Elam and Napleon Dixon, both of Chester. Junior groomsmen were Forrest Biggers and O'Kevius Biggers, both of Lake Wylie. Ring bearer was Justin Dye and Bible bearer was Onterio Biggers of Lake Wylie.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Myrtle Beach and will live in York.
