Junas - Barata

Kristin T. Junas, daughter of Paul and Mary Lou Junas, Hazleton, and Daniel J. Barata, son of Jacqueline M. Barata, Hazleton, and the late Daniel V. Barata, were married in Most Precious Blood Church.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Maria Klass, Spring City, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Jacobs, Hazleton; Gina Barata, Lancaster; Sandy McGeehan, Drums; Carole Repasch, Catasauqua; Tracy Deresz and Michelle Infante, both of Effort. The flower girls were Sarah Amendolare, Hillsborough, N.J., and Demitria Tranguch, Hazleton.

Michael Barata, Hazleton, was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Jay Farace, Hellertown; Paul Junas, Hazleton; Scott Smith, Logansport, Ind.; Keith Junas, Boston, Mass.; Chris Smith, Cromwell, Ind., and John Tranguch, Beaver Meadows.

Following a reception at the Best Western Genetti Motor Lodge, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Hawaii. They now reside in Fleetwood.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Hazleton High School and Penn State University.

The bride is an elementary school teacher in the Pleasant Valley School District, Brodheadsville, and the groom is an industrial engineer for Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster.

A shower in honor of the bride was given by both mothers at the Best Western Genetti Motor Lodge, and the rehearsal dinner was held at Ferdinand's Family Restaurant, Hazleton.
