Brekke - Rutt
The First United Methodist Church, Wind Gap, was the setting for the July 20th marriage of Michele M. Brekke and Osburn Rutt III.
The Rev. Sandy Nash performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald E. Brekke, Hazleton, and the late Elizabeth M. Brekke, and the groom is the son of Ruth E. Rutt, East Bangor, and the late Osburn Rutt Jr.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride had her sister, Diane Barrett, Chandler, Ariz., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Peg Ulba, Wind Gap; Lisa Ritz, Hazleton, and Kimberly Brekke, Hazleton. The flower girl was Marissa DeLeon, Stockertown.
Gene Rutt, East Bangor, was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Vic Ulba, Wind Gap; Jody Nye, Hazleton, and Tyler Rutt, Mt. Bethel, son of the groom. Ryan Rutt, Wind Gap, the couple’s son, was the ring bearer.
Following a reception at the Easton Moose hall, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Ocean City, Md. They now reside in Wind Gap.
A graduate of Hazleton High School, the bride is an operator in the marker department of Binney & Smith Inc. (Crayola), Easton.
The groom is a graduate of Bangor High School and is employed as a material handler in the crayon deparment of Binney & Smith.
A shower in honor of the bride was held in the First United Methodist Church basement and the rehearsal dinner was held at the Easton Moose hall.
