Jennifer Lynn Johnston and Jason Anthony Massey were united in marriage May 19, 2001 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Quinn officiating.
Music was provided by Emily Owens, cousin of the bride of Norwalk, IA, and Emily Danielsons, pianist, of Hannibal.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Johnston of Hannibal and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Massey of Paducah, Ky.
The bride chose her sister, Jessica Johnston of Hannibal, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kara Esicar of Chicago, Ill., Amber King of Hannibal and Becky Uffman of St. Louis.
Jaycie Owens,, cousin of the bride and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Owens of Norwalk, served as flower girl.
Ringbearer was Easton Brownell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Brownell of St. Paul, Mo.
The groom chose his brother, Ryan Massey of Knoxville, Tenn., as best man.
Groomsmen were the groom's father, J.D. Dykes, and Eric Fox, both of Paducah. Christopher Gosney of Quincy, Ill., and Jacob Johnston of Hannibal, cousins of the bride, served as ushers and candlelighters.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Missouri Baptist College at St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine and a double minor in nutrition and physical education. She is employed by Dillard's in Paducah.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Missouri Baptist college with a bachelor's degree in business.
He is the owner of J&J; Properties and Tabular Cleaning Service.
A reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall followed the ceremony.
Servers were Carla Gosney, aunt of the bride of Quincy, Donna Hemme, cousin of the bride of Hannibal, and Lisa Massey, sister-in-law of the bride of Knoxville.
Annie Owens, cousin of the bride of Norwalk, and Kourtnie Nisius, cousin of the bride of Newton, Iowa, were guest register attendants.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Sawyer's Creek.
Three showers were given by Karen and Kara Esicar, Donna Hemme and Carla Gosney, and Mary Shelley of Paducah.
The bride carried her grandmother's handkerchief in her bouquet.
The couple also lit a memorial candle in remembrance of the bride's grandmother, Charlene Johnston and grandfather, Raymond Owens and the groom's grandfather, Jim Jenkins.
Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Paducah.
