Dr. and Mrs. Floyd Hower of Union, South Carolina announce the engagement of their daughter Julie Deidre of Atlanta, Georgia to David McHugh Fischer of Atlanta, Georgia son of Dr. and Mrs. Doane Fischer of Lexington, Kentucky. A wedding is planned for March 27 at five o'clock in the afternoon at Trinity United Methodist Church, Charleston, South Carolina.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Union High School, with a BS in Business Administration from College of Charleston. She is employed as a Media Coordinator by Katz Media Group. She is a granddaughter of the late Mrs. Mary Schoenrath and Mr. Judson Scudder and the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hower, Sr.
Mr. Fischer is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MS in Civil Engineering and MBA from Georgia Tech. He is employed as a Project Manager by Trammell-Crow. He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Campbell and the late Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Fischer.
