Bob and Sandy Forhetz of O'Fallon, Ill., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Deanne Forhetz, to Steve Morriss.
He is the son of Mary Ann Jackson of Hannibal and Louie Morriss of Palmyra.
The prospective bride is a 1998 graduate of O'Fallon Township High School.
She is pursuing a master's degree in physical therapy at Maryville University.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Hannibal High School.
He earned a degree in hospitality and restaurant management in 1998 from Southwest Missouri State University and is employed by Bob Evans Restaurants.
The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. May 18, at the First Baptist Church in St. Charles.
