Miss Pettit weds Mr. Ziliani
Miss Regina Dawn Pettit became the bride of Mr. Jeff Ziliani on May 17, at 4:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, S.C. Dr. Rev. Randolph Kowalski and Deacon Frank Farina performed the double-ring ceremony. Following was a cocktail hour on the veranda of the Westin Poinsett Hotel with a reception in the Poinsett Ballroom of the Westin Poinsett Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ronald Pettit, Sr. of Pauline, S.C. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ziliani, Jr. of Lyndhurst, N.J. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a stunning gown of soft ivory satin with fitted bodice, basque waist, and a ballgown, boxed-pleated skirt.
The gown had a sweetheart neckline which, along with the waist, is finished in a rum pink piping accenting its elegant lines. The train was adorned with rum pink pearls and crystal sequinned schiffli lace.
The (Regina) tiara, with rum pink pearls and crystals set in silver, was designed and handcrafted specifically for the bride with a finger-tip veil.
She carried roses with hand-tied robbon covering the stems.
Organist Mr. John Gentry, Jr. of Greenville, vocalist Mr. John Brigham of Greenville, Trumpeter Daniel Kirsop and flutist Martha Kitterman provided nuptial music. Maid of honor was Miss Amy Annette Downey of Greenville, friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cassie Pettit of Boiling Springs, sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Cheryl Ziliani Hamilton, N.J, sister-in-law of the groom, Cathy Saleymeh of Johnstown, Colo., friend of the bride and Miss Holly Spriggs friend of the bride of Blairstown, N.J.
Attendants wore champagne A-line gowns with covered buttons and carried various flowers in a silver Victorian tussy-mussie. Miss Josie Elizabeth Pettit niece of the bride of Boiling Springs was flower girl. Ringbearer was Brian John Healy friend of San Jose, Calif.
The groom chose his brother Mr. Gregg Ziliani of Hamilton, N.J. as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Joseph R. Pettit, Jr., brother of the bride of Boiling Springs, Mr. Randy George, friend of San Francisco, Calif., Mr. Kevin Healy, friend, of San Jose, Calif. and Mr. John Siberio, friend, of Bridgewater, N.J. Ms. Glenna Coker of Fountain Inn attended the register.
The bride holds a BA from Converse College and is a piano teacher. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garland Clifford Billings and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franklin Pettit.
The groom holds a BS from Trenton State College and is employed as a CPA with Price Waterhouse Coopers. He is a grandson of Mrs. Lucy Restiano and the late Mr. Anthony Restiano of Lyndhurst, N.J. and Mr. Charles Ziliani, Sr. and the late Mrs. Elvira Ziliani of Vero Beach, Fla.
After a honeymoon trip to Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea the couple will reside in San Jose, Calif.
