Engagement announced
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Sumner of Buffalo, South Carolina announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Anne to Jon W. Gordon son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian C. Gordon of Brazoria, Texas.
The wedding is planned for the twenty-second of March 2003, at three o'clock in the afternoon at Bethel United Methodist Church in Charleston.
Miss Sumner graduated from Union High School.
She received her B.A. degree in political science from the University of South Carolina in Spartanburg and her Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary School of Law.
She is currently an Assistant Solicitor for the 9th Judicial Circuit in Charleston.
The bride-elect is a granddaughter of Mrs. Inez Sumner and the late Harris Sumner, and Mr. Loyd Maness and the late Edna Miller Maness.
Mr. Gordon is a graduate of West Columbia High School in Brazoria, Texas. He served as a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy.
He is currently pursuing his B.A. degree at the College of Charleston.
His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Gordon of Brazoria, Texas and Mrs. Yod Kotbua and the late Hong Kotuba of Banpaeng, Thailand.
