Miss Sauls weds Mister Medford
Miss Christine Randolph Sauls became the bride of Randy O'Neil Medford in a wedding ceremony on Saturday, April 20, 2002, at Presbyterian Church at Manning.
The Reverend Doctor William Judson Holmes, Jr., was the officiating minister for the six o'clock, double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Christine Fisher Sauls of Ingleoak Lane, Greenville, and Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Louis Sauls, III, of Forest Lake Place, Columbia.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Monroe Medford of Jonesville Highway, Jonesville. Rendering nuptial selections were Ms. Tommie Jackson, organist; and Tony Darrin Roebuck, trumpeter, both of Columbia; and William Alvin Hueble, Jr., vocalist, of Greenville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length strapless, A-line gown with an embroidered bodice and an embroidered band along the bottom of the gown. It was designed by Tomasina.
She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, bells of Ireland and green roses.
Miss Kristen Anne Anderson of Greenville was maid of honor.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Meredith Watson Struby of Macon. Bridesmaids were Miss Ashley Elizabeth Ballard and Miss Laura Stacey Bullock, both of Greenville; Mrs. Knight Crocker Sauls, sister-in-law of the bride of Birmingham, Alabama; Miss Danielle Marie Dickson Schiano of Baltimore, Maryland; Miss Emily Lo Ann Spann of Charleston; and Mrs. Elizabeth Atkison Stringfellow of Charlotte, North Carolina.
The attendants wore celedon green, strapless A-line gowns which fell to floor length and featured a small train. Ivory satin ribbon crisscrossed in front and tied in the back. The gowns were designed by Vera Wang.
Each carried a bouquet of three white calla lilies tied with ivory satin ribbons. Flower girl was Miss Savannah Theresa Medford, niece of the groom, of Greenwood. The groom chose his father as his best man.
Groomsmen were William Alvin Hueble, Jr., of Greenville; Tom Scott Jones of Chesnee; Jeffrey Amos Medford, brother of the groom of Jonesville; John Clark Nicholson of Columbia; Charles Bradley Sauls, brother of the bride of Birmingham, Alabama; Samuel Baylis Shackelford, III, of Spartanburg; and James Kendall Sims of Pawley's Island.
Honorary groomsman was Morgan Louis Sauls, IV, of Leesville, brother of the bride. Miss Lauren Kimball Rounsville of Greenville presided at the bridal register.
A reception at 5717 Old Georgetown Road, Manning, followed the wedding ceremony. Greeters were Miss Marguerite Stuart Fisher of Atlanta, Georgia, cousin of the bride; and Miss Peggy Elise Collins of Jonesville, niece of the groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Medford will make their home in Greenville after a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii.
The bride was graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor of science degree in sociology.
She is employed as marketing communications coordinator with Manheim Auctions of Atlanta, Georgia.
She is the granddaughter of the late Doctors Samuel Hess and Marguerite Fisher of Greenville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Louis Sauls, Jr., of Manning.
Mr. Medford was graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
He is vice president of sales with Paragon Plastics in Union.
