CRAWFORD ANNIVERSARY

Crawfords celebrate their 50th golden anniversary

Longtime Jackson residents Chuck and Millie Crawford recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Mackinac Island, Mich., where they stayed at the world-famous Grand Hotel.

They were married on July 31, 1954 at the Chapel of Roses in Pasadena.

Chuck served 20 years with the Los Angeles Police Department and Millie worked for Security First National Bank and later as a full-time homemaker.

Along with their two children, Scott and Susan, they moved to Jackson in 1973 and later both began working for Amador County, Chuck at the landfill and Millie at the auditor's office.

Since retirement they enjoy traveling around the United States and spending time with their grandchildren; Nicholas, Kyle, Taylor and Lindsay and their step-grandchildren, Joey and Arika.
