Byrne - Merrigan
BOSTON - Kathleen M. Byrne and Michael V. Merrigan were united in marriage June 15, 2002, in St. Ignatius of Loyola Church at Boston College. The Rev. James Hederman, S.J., performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Virginia Byrne of York Harbor, Maine, and was given in marriage by her father.
The bridegroom is the son of John Merrigan of Bronxville, N.Y., and Theresa Donaghy of Walkill, N.Y.
Elizabeth Comiskey was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Allison McEnerney, Jamie O’Brien, Jennifer Jones, Wendy Williams, Jennifer Fonte and Toni Lenge, all friends of the bride.
Christian Canoon was best man for his friend. Ushering the guests were Terence Merrigan and Jonathan Merrigan, brothers of the bridegroom, John Spillane, Brian Burke, Eugene Oh and Kevin Sohr, friends of the bridegroom. Shay Comiskey, the bride’s nephew, was the ring bearer.
The reception was held at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
Mrs. Merrigan is a 1993 graduate of York High School, a 1997 graduate of Boston College and a 2000 graduate of Boston College Law School. She is an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in New York City.
Mr. Merrigan is a 1997 graduate of Boston College. He is an analyst for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City.
Following a honeymoon in Italy, they are making their home in New York City.
