YORK, Maine - The York Harbor Inn was the setting for the Oct. 5, 2002, wedding of Sarah Elizabeth Smith and Boyd Randy Watkins.
Robert Duddy, justice of the peace, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Harry and Deborah Smith of Amesbury, Mass. and was given in marriage by her parents.
The bridegroom is the son of Joyce Watkins of Amesbury.
Stephanie Gurczak of Amesbury was the maid of honor for her friend.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Boucher of Seabrook, a friend of the bride, Stacie Watkins of Peabody, Mass, the sister of the bridegroom, and Shawn Perreault of Fremont, the bridegroom’s cousin.
Nils Ohlson of Dover was best man for his friend.
Ushering the guests were David Smith of Montgomery, Ala., the bride’s brother, Mark Guay of Rochester, a friend of the bridegroom, and Ray Perreault of Fremont, the bridegroom’s cousin.
The reception was held at the York Harbor Inn.
Mrs. Watkins is a 1996 graduate of Amesbury High School and a 2000 graduate of Fitchburg State College with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.
She is the assistant manager at CVS Pharmacy.
Mr. Watkins is a 1990 graduate of Amesbury High School and an Americorp Alumnus, University of Texas, Austin, majoring in early childhood education.
He is a bartender at Pizzeria Uno.
Following a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, they are making their home in Portsmouth.
