HAMPTON - Carrie Elizabeth Simek and James Michael Russell, both of Rye, were united in marriage Aug. 17, 2002, in the First Congregational Church, Hampton.
The Rev. Deborah Knowlton officiated at the service.
The bride is the daughter of Paul Simek of Pembroke and Susan McDaniel of Dover.
She was given in marriage by her father.
The groom is the son of Philip and Nancy Russell of Pembroke.
Megan Germond of Concord, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Germond of Pembroke, cousin of the bride; Anna Brown of Newmarket, friend of the bride; and Tricia Clark of Malden, Mass., friend of the bride.
Flower girls were Dakota Russell of Lee, niece of the groom, and Amber Germond of Manchester, cousin of the bride.
Todd Lambert of Malden, Mass., friend of the groom, was best man.
Ushers were Philip Russell Jr. of Lee, brother of the groom; Brian Russell of Raymond, brother of the groom; and John Kelly of Hampton, friend of the groom.
A reception was held at the Courtyard Marriott, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Russell is a 1995 graduate of Pembroke Academy and a 2001 graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
She is an inclusion facilitator with the Dover School District and is pursuing a master’s degree in education at the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Russell is a 1996 graduate of Winnacunnet High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He is employed as a police officer.
After a honeymoon in Aruba, they are making their home in Rye.
