Readings were offered by Glenn Cummings of Portland, Maine, the bride’s brother, and Tim Knight of Shrewsbury, Mass., the bridegroom’s uncle.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Gerald and Martha MacVane of Portland, Maine.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Carol Hale of New Bern, N.C.
The reception was held at the Grant House.
Mrs. Hale is a 1989 graduate of Traip Academy and attended the University of Maine, Orono.
She is a special events assistant at Kitchen Etc., in Exeter.
Mr. Hale is a 1991 graduate of Marshwood High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
He is a financial specialist at Putnam Investments in Andover, Mass.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba they are making their home in Kittery, Maine.
