Rick Wasson and Brenda Barnes of Hannibal have announced their engagement.

Parents of the prospective bride are Ronald and Carolynn Barnes of Hannibal, and Glen (Pete) Brooks of Mexico and the late Linda Brooks.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of the late Malcolm and Evelyn Wasson, formerly of Mexico.

The prospective bride is employed at K & T Market and Deli in New London.

An afternoon riverside wedding is planned for Oct. 2, 2004 at the rural Hannibal cabin of Ronald and Carolynn Barnes.
