ERIE, PA - Kari Lynn Olowin and Timothy David Althof Jr., were united in marriage May 18, 2002 in St. James Catholic Church. Monsignor Robert Cohan officiated at the ceremony.
Lisa Campbell was the soloist, Mary Jane Clark was the organist, Jeffrey Mleczko and Edward Siviec were the trumpeters and readings were offered by Jason Bonner and Lori Davis.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Jane Olowin of Erie and was given in marriage by her father.
The bridegroom is the son of Tim and Sue Althof of 226 Woodland Road, Hampton.
Kimberly Van Slyke was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Erin Bauman, Jennifer D’Annibale, Laurine Lewandowski, Marisa Paolercio and Kelley Yuncker.
Alyssa Van Slyke the bride’s niece, was the flower girl.
Jason Chappelli was best man for his friend. Groomsmen were Benjamin Althof and Matthew Althof, the bridegroom’s brothers, Mark Olowin, the bride’s brother, and Jon Haybarger and James Mallory.
Jacob Van Slyke, the bride’s nephew, was the ring bearer.
The reception was held at St. James Place.
Mrs. Althof is a 1995 graduate of Maryhurst Preparatory School, Erie, and a 1999 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
She is a reservationist/program coordinator at Waldron Campus Center at Gannon University in Erie.
Mr. Althof is a 1992 graduate of Winnacunnet High School, 1996 graduate of Thiel College with a bachelor of arts degree in business and accounting, and received his masters of business administration from Gannon University in 1999.
He is a regional sales manager in Canada for Reed Manufacturing, Erie.
Following a honeymoon in Las Vegas, they are making their home in Erie.
