HAMPTON - Heidi A. Dufour and Peter T. Ames were united in marriage June 15, 2002, in Hampton United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Carroll Moore performed the double-ring ceremony.
A reading was offered by Laurie A. Dufour, the bride’s mother.
Jana Cerullo, a friend of the bride, was the pianist, Mary Oliver was the organist and Elizabeth Barcomb was the soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Jonathan and Laurie Dufour, both of Hampton, and was given in marriage by her father.
The bridegroom is the son of Ken and Meg Ames of Newbury.
Kristine Dufour of Exeter was maid of honor for her cousin. Bridesmaids were Megan Dufour and Ashley Dufour of Hampton, sisters of the bride, Alison Ray of North Hampton, and Heather Leaf of Falmouth, Mass., friends of the bride.
Bryan Ames of Newbury was best man for his brother. Ushering the guests were Adam Hershey of Portland, Maine, Josh Baird of Boston, Ian Faulkner of Newbury and Ryan Tappin of Manchester, friends of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at the Inn of Hampton Conference Center where Tarah Olsen of Hampton, the bride’s friend, presented the guest book.
Mrs. Ames is a 2002 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She will begin law school in the fall at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Ames is a 2001 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor of science degree in health management and policy. He will begin graduate school in the fall at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Following a honeymoon in Alaska, they are making their home in Washington.
