The were married April 13, 1952, in Methuen, Mass.
They met while Mr. Chase was a patient in the Veteran's Hospital in Manchester, where Mrs. Chase was a nurse.
They have four children, Scott Chase of Cape Neddick, Maine, Susan Davies of York, Paul Chase of Cape Neddick and Rebecca Chase of Milwaukee, Wis., and four grandchildren.
Mr. Chase is a retired builder and Mrs. Chase is a retired nurse.
