Pruszenski - Altman
NORTH HAMPTON — Amy D. Pruszenski and Lou Altman were united in marriage June 17, 2001, in the United Church of Christ. Justice of the Peace Diane Minnis officiated at the ceremony. The bride and bridegroom exchanged rings with each other and family pins with his two children, Madeline and Alex.
Gail Adams was the pianist and John Cardin was the trumpeter. Scott Richardson was the soloist and accompanied the bride on guitar.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Irene D. Pruszenski of Adelphi, Md., and the late Anthony S. Pruszenski.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Helen Altman of White Plains, N.Y., and the late Dr. Barry Altman.
Dr. Malea Maynard of Dallas, Texas, was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Christine Sweeney and Eileen Byrne, friends of the bride.
Madeline Altman, the bridegroom's daughter, and Dana Anne Maynard, the bride's niece and goddaughter, were the flower girls.
Ben Jogodnik of Voorhees, N.J., was the best man. Groomsmen were Greg Corson and William Reichenbach, friends of the bridegroom. Alex Altman, the bridegroom's son, was the ring bearer.
The reception was held aboard the M/V Thomas Leighton, cruising up the Piscataqua River out of Portsmouth.
Dr. Pruszenski is a 1989 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in cognitive science and received her doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1993. She owns Harbor Eyecare Center in Portsmouth.
Mr. Altman is a 1988 graduate of New England College and received his master of business administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 1991. He is president of Globafone in Portsmouth.
Following a family honeymoon at Six Flags New England in June and a private honeymoon in Mexico, they are making their home in Rye.
