GOODWIN - BLAIR

James and Barbara Goodwin, anniversary

James and Barbara Goodwin, Port Byron, will be honored Aug. 28, 2004 at an open house in observance of their 60th wedding anniversary.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 1 to 4 p.m. in First United Methodist Church of Port Byron.

It is requested that gifts be omitted.

The former Barbara J. Blair and Mr. Goodwin, both of East Moline, were married Aug. 26, 1944, in St. John's Methodist Church, Davenport.

Their children are Sharon Goodwin, East Moline, James R. and John Goodwin, Silvis, and Rose Goodwin, Stockton, Iowa.

There are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Goodwin was employed as a journeyman millwright at John Deere Foundry, retiring in April 1989 after 46 years.

Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker.

They are members of First United Methodist Church of Port Byron.
